Brian Wallins is research director for Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), responsible for leading global research of talent acquisition technology. Wallins has been with SIA since 2017. He brought six years of experience in equity research of technology companies covering the enterprise software sector for Gleacher & Company, formerly known as  Broadpoint Securities Group. Additionally, he had various corporate strategy and finance roles at Getaround, Hire On-Demand and Calypso Technology (acquired by Nasdaq). Wallins has a Master of Business Administration from Bentley University and passed level one of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) exam.

John Nurthen manages the team that delivers international research content for Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). He has over 30 years of experience in the staffing industry, having previously worked in senior managerial roles for three of the world’s largest staffing companies: Select Appointments, Vedior and Randstad. He played an active role in major equity offerings and mergers. Nurthen was a founder of the International Review of Employment, published in four languages, as well as DOVA, one of the largest global databases of online vacancies. He played a leading role in the development of common data standards with the creation of Human Resources Extensible Markup Language (HR-XML) Staffing Industry Data Exchange Standards (SIDES). Nurthen has been responsible for internal and external communications, e-business, technology matters, marketing, research, procurement and corporate social responsibility. Nurthen’s experience makes him an authority on global recruitment and contingent workforce issues. He lives in a small village in North Hertfordshire, UK with his wife, a wood-fired oven and two Gretsch drum kits.

Kevin Chen is a research analyst at Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) and covers talent acquisition technology, staffing platforms, workforce solutions mergers and acquisitions, and the Largest Staffing Firms in the United States lists. Chen joined SIA in 2021 as a research associate covering IT staffing. Prior to joining SIA, Chen worked in the technology sector where he provided research on financial technology startups. He was introduced to the staffing industry after being employed as an IT contractor. Chen graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and minors in data science and demography. In his spare time, Chen enjoys going to concerts and supporting his hometown 76ers.
