The Planet Group struck a deal to acquire Interactive Business Systems, an Oak Brook, Illinois-based provider of IT staffing and solutions.

IBS was founded in 1981 and is led by Dan Williams and current President and COO Jeff Jorgensen.

“IBS is the perfect complement to Planet’s existing technology services and further strengthens our rapidly growing position in the industry as a provider of choice, offering a comprehensive suite of professional staffing and consulting services,” Planet Group CEO Michael Stomberg said in a statement.

While IBS is based in Oak Brook, the company also has a delivery center in India.

IBS marks the latest acquisition for The Planet Group. Earlier last month, Planet announced that it acquired NDA Partners, a life sciences management consulting and contract development firm. In November 2019, Planet acquired staffing provider WinterWyman.

Private equity firm MidOcean Partners invested in Planet back in January 2018.
