The Adecco Group’s Vettery acquired Hired Inc., a San Francisco-based online recruitment platform focused on matching technology talent with jobs.
Vettery is also an online recruitment platform; it concentrates on jobs in technology, sales and finance.
“Hired and Vettery have independently succeeded in helping over 17,000 companies build top technology teams by connecting over 3 million diverse, vetted candidates to job opportunities,” said Josh Brenner, CEO of Vettery. “Our synergistic vision of upending the recruitment process will enable us to add immediate value to our clients by deepening our vetted candidate pool, improving our matching capabilities, and accelerating our global hiring solution for high-demand, technology jobs.”
Brenner will serve as CEO of the combined company. He appeared on SIA’s 2020 40 Under 40 in staffing list and took on the CEO role at New York-based Vettery earlier this year after serving as chief product officer.
Hired CEO Mehul Patel, who led that company since 2013, will pursue new opportunities.
TechCrunch reported that Hired had raised $130 million in funding.
The combined companies plan to launch a joint solution over the next few months that will use data from 1.5 million interviews and more than 21,000 placements to bolster its AI-based predictive algorithms. It will have bias-reduction features, including gender-equal salary offer recommendations and photo and name removal in search results, according to the announcement.
Hired was founded in 2012 and became a fully remote company in August 2020.
Vettery itself was acquired in 2018 by Adecco.
