Digital Intelligence Systems LLC, or DISYS, announced it will acquire Xtreme Consulting Group, a Kirkland, Wash.-based provider of staffing and IT solutions. Xtreme had revenue of $76 million in 2017.Xtreme was founded in 2005 and counts more than 550 employees in the US.

Consulting Solutions International announced it acquired Technical Resource Group Inc., an IT staffing provider. Technical Resources Group was founded in 1989 by Scott Clary, and it has offices in Dallas and Plano, Texas.

Phaidon International, whose US operations ranked among the fastest-growing staffing firms, was acquired by Quilvest Private Equity. In addition, Phaidon founder Adam Buck will be stepping back.The acquisition was completed recently and announced April 10. However, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed."Quilvest stood out because of its international relationships and reach, as well as the quality of its team," Phaidon CEO Harry Youtan said.

Quess Corp (QUESS:NSI), a Bengaluru, India-based staffing firm,  appointed Pinaki Kar as president, technology solutions. Pinaki will oversee IT services business, IT staffing business, customer life cycle management and business process management in all geographies.

StevenDouglas, a national executive search firm headquartered near Fort Lauderdale, Fla., acquired IT staffing firm Tallience.Tallience is a small boutique IT staffing and search firm with a geographic footprint in Florida and the Mid-Atlantic. Although headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla., one of its founding partners, Tim Baron, resides in Northern Virginia where half of Tallience's revenue and clients are.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services reported the number of petitions for H-1B visas, used to bring in highly skilled temporary workers such as IT professionals, fell this year to 190,098, down from the 199,000 received last year and down from a peak of 236,000 received in 2016.
