SIA’s Annual List Published Online

Mountain View, California – June 2, 2021 – Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, has released its 2021 Diversity-Owned Staffing Firms – US & Canada list, publishing the list online and in the May/June print issue of Staffing Industry Review magazine.

This year’s list includes 151 firms from the US and Canada that self-identify as being under diversity ownership. SIA has published the Diversity-Owned Staffing Firms list annually for over a decade, with the intention of helping open doors for these companies and to continually raise awareness for the changes that are needed to advance more diverse and inclusive workplaces.

“Diversity, equity and inclusion go beyond ownership, to commitment,” said Barry Asin, SIA President. “As the conversation around DE&I takes a deeper hold in the industry, staffing clients are increasingly looking to suppliers to demonstrate their commitment to delivering diverse talent and to enhancing equity at work, both internally and externally.”

Among firms on the 2021 list, 89 reported they were women-owned and 81 cited Asian Indian, Asian Pacific, Black, Hispanic, Native American and/or LGBTQ ownership, with seven firms citing veteran ownership. Firms on the list can have multiple types of ownership, for example a firm can be both Black-owned and LGBTQ-owned. Firms on the list range from specialized, niche providers to larger scale global organizations, with representation across  key staffing segments, including engineering, healthcare, IT, industrial, life sciences, marketing/creative and office/clerical, and encompassing a wide span of services and solutions.
