Nisha Manji
Main content
With a desire to create positive change in communities through growth and sustainability efforts, Nisha Manji studied international relations in college and traveled the world. Her move into staffing came about 10 years ago after a conversation with a stranger on a plane: the founder of S.i. Systems, Derek Bullen. He gave her his business card, and shortly after, Manji joined the company as a recruiter. The desire that sparked her journey into community development fuels her enthusiasm in staffing, where she provides people with meaningful work that supports their livelihoods and communities.
Currently serving as vice president, Manji oversees four branches in Canada and one in Chicago - the first office outside of Canada, which she played a critical role in developing. She is accountable for the company’s largest division, overseeing 50 employees and $100 million in revenue. Manji implemented a gross margin strategy program across the company, resulting in a gross margin increase of over 2%. She has also been the driver of the integration of two large acquisitions in the last 12 months, including leading change management for company systems, processes and culture.
Manji is proud of the diverse teams and cultures she has created. “It’s important to bring your authentic self into leadership,” she says. “To create a meaningful connection that leads to results in an environment of inclusivity, authenticity and transparency is where it starts.”
