The number of U.S. information technology jobs reached an all-time high for the fifth month in a row. The TechServe Alliance reported the number of IT jobs rose by 15,500 in May, a 0.4 percent increase from the previous month, to a record of almost 4.18 million jobs.

“While the overall May jobs report was interpreted by many as a signal of a stalling recovery, we are seeing no such slowdown in IT,” said TechServe CEO Mark Roberts. “To the contrary, my member companies who place high tech talent in most Fortune 1000 companies report both robust demand as well as a shortage of talent in high demand skill sets.”
