QPS Employment Group, a Brookfield, Wis.-based staffing and recruiting firm, acquired USA Staffing, a recruiting firm based in Ames, Iowa, that focuses on industrial, skilled trades and clerical. QPS will take over USA Staffing’s 10 locations.

“We’re excited about this acquisition, which allows us to expand our geographical reach outside of Wisconsin and Illinois,” said Dan McNulty, QPS’ chief operating officer. “This acquisition is the first step in our plan to increase our presence throughout the Midwest.”

USA Staffing Owner/President Steve Risius will stay on as a consultant. USA Staffing’s associate employees who are currently working on assignment at local companies will be retained and moved to QPS’ payroll. The company’s name will not be retained, as the operations and internal staff will be folded into QPS’ business.

Terms of the transaction are not disclosed. This is QPS’ sixth acquisition since 2006.
