USG People announces new CEO

USG People NV today announced plans to appoint Herman van Campenhout as CEO effective March 1.

Van Campenhout has worked at Reed Elsevier since 2001 and presently serves as CEO of its science and technology division. He has also held various posts at Royal Dutch Shell Group from 1984 to 2001.

Former CEO Ron Icke left the company Sept. 30. The company cited differences in opinion about strategy.

USG's supervisory board also announced today it is nominating Cees Veerman as the new chairman of its supervisory board. Veerman had served as the Dutch minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality from 2002 to 2007.

Netherlands-based USG ranked No. 4 on Staffing Industry Analysts' list of largest global staffing firms.
