Hamilton-Ryker acquires Texas staffing firm Priority Personnel

September 04, 2015

Staffing provider The Hamilton-Ryker Group Inc. acquired San Marcos, Texas-based Priority Personnel Inc. The transaction closed Sept.2; terms were not disclosed. Investment banking firm De Bellas & Co. announced the deal and advised the seller.

Priority Personnel provides commercial staffing, targeting the light industrial and clerical sectors. The brand will remain and continue to operate from its current location. The existing management team will remain and Mark Olson, COO of Priority Personnel for the past four years, will remain with the company as president of Priority. Olson has been responsible for Priority’s sales and has managed day-to-day operations since 2010.

“HRG acquired Priority because it is the leader in its market, has a strategic footprint, diverse customer base and experienced leadership,” said Hamilton-Ryker President Kelly McCreight.

Hamilton-Ryker provides contract temporary, contract to hire and outsourcing within the light industrial, office professional and IT staffing segments. The company’s 30 locations operate under the brands Hamilton-Ryker, Hamilton-Ryker IT Solutions, Steverson Staffing and Metro Data Networks.

Priority Personnel is Hamilton-Ryker’s fourth transaction in two years as the company expands its presence in the southwest and southeast. Recent acquisitions include Metro Data Networks, a Washington, DC-based technology services firm; Steverson Staffing Inc. a Houston-based staffing firm; and WMS iSymphony Inc., a cloud-based vendor management system/managed service provider based in Houston.

“We are very excited to have found the perfect home for Priority and believe HRG is the ideal fit to expand in and beyond our current market,” said Priority Personnel CEO Dan Roy.
