TEKsystems (Allegis Group), On Assignment, Insight Global, Randstad Technologies and Experis (ManpowerGroup) rank as the five largest suppliers of IT staffing in the US, according to Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2015 list of largest IT staffing firms in the US.

Allegis’ TEKsystems division ranked as largest overall with market share of 12%. On Assignment — which acquired Cybercoders in the fourth quarter of 2013 — was second and Insight Global was third. Both On Assignment and Insight Global had 5% market shares. Randstad Technologies and ManpowerGroup’s Experis division were fourth and fifth, both with 4% market shares.

The annual list of largest IT staffing firms includes companies with at least $100 million in US IT staffing revenue in 2014. This year’s list included 41 firms with combined revenue of $16.3 billion and 63% market share.

“We note that 23 firms — or slightly more than half of those shown in the report — generated between $100 million and $200 million in IT temporary staffing revenue in 2014,” said Senior Research Analyst Timothy Landhuis.” This suggests that there continues to be a diversity of niche strategies employed in the IT staffing supplier landscape.”

Staffing Industry Analysts ranked companies by revenue, according to industry custom, but this ranking should not be taken to imply that a firm with a higher rank provides better service or more value to its shareholders.
