RCM Technologies Inc. (NASD GM: RCMT) — a provider of engineering, IT and healthcare staffing — reported revenue rose 17.8 percent in the first quarter to $48.6 million. However, gross margin narrowed to 25.2 percent in the first quarter at the Pennsauken, N.J.-based firm from 25.8 percent in the year-ago quarter.
