Job site operator goes public

April 17, 2013

The operator of the openreq.com — an online career community for staffing firms, recruiters and human resources professionals — is now part of a publicly traded company called eCareer Holdings Inc. (OTCBB: BCCA).

ECareer became public as part of a deal with Barossa Coffee Company Inc., a publicly traded company that formerly operated a retail coffee business, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Barossa changed its name to eCareer Holdings in the deal, and the plan is to change the ticker symbol in the future.

“Being a public company will enhance our ability to enrich our online career communities and technology across several high-growth sectors in ways that will attract and then drive the right candidates to the right jobs at the right companies,” said Tim Kardok, a president and director of the company.

The company is based in Boca Raton, Fla., and its CEO is Joseph Azzata, who formerly served as CEO and co-founder of Medical Connections Holdings Inc.
