ManpowerGroup acquires majority stake in Dutch IT firm

ManpowerGroup Inc. (NYSE: MAN) has acquired a majority stake in Dutch staffing company iSense, which specializes in the placement of permanent and contract information and communication technology staff.

According to ManpowerGroup, the acquisition will improve growth in the professional staffing segment. iSense’s placement of skilled IT contract workers also complements the existing service provided by Experis IT, part of ManpowerGroup.

ISense will continue to operate as a separate brand and will retain its existing management team under Jilko Andringa, a director at ManpowerGroup Netherlands.

In March this year, ManpowerGroup also acquired a majority stake in Salary Profs, a Dutch payroll company.

“Expansion through acquisitions in not an end in itself, but we are focused strongly on growth,” Andringa said. “The labor market is in full motion, innovation and market position are critical. We are sure that with these two majority stake holdings we can be even more competitive.”
