CHG Healthcare taps new COO

CHG Healthcare Services, the second-largest US healthcare staffing firm and the largest US locum tenens staffing provider, named Mark Law as chief operating officer.

Law succeeds former COO Scott Beck, who replaced Michael Weinholtz in the CEO role earlier this year.

Law most recently served as a group president at CHG, managing the business and leadership for three of CHG’s divisions: CompHealth, Weatherby Healthcare and Foundation Medical Staffing. He joined CHG 26 years ago as a member of the accounting department and has held a variety of positions, including recruiter, sales manager, sales director, and VP and president of CHG’s CompHealth division.

“Mark is a tremendous leader and has been a valuable partner throughout the years,” Beck said. “His profound knowledge of the staffing industry and strong instincts are unmatched, as is his commitment to our culture, people and continued growth.”

CHG’s brands include CompHealth, Weatherby Healthcare, RNnetwork and Foundation Medical Staffing.

CHG Healthcare employs nearly 2,000 people in seven offices: Salt Lake City; Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Fla.; Durham, N.C.; Norwalk, Conn.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Edmond, Okla. CHG’s healthcare staffing companies placed more than 11,000 medical providers across the US in 2014.
