Nurse Plus in management buyout with UK private equity investment

Nurse Plus, a provider of staffing and home care services to the UK healthcare industry, received a significant investment from UK private equity firm Sovereign Capital, as part of a management buyout.

Nurse Plus was founded in 2005 and has grown to become one of the UK’s largest providers of nurses and care providers for establishment settings and within the home. The business supplies agency care workers and nurses to nursing homes, residential care homes and private hospitals. It has 35 branches across England.

Sovereign has backed Nurse Plus’ incumbent management team, led by CEO Heath Blake. Sovereign will work with Nurse Plus’ management team to expand the business to meet the increasing demand for its services.

“With an increasing ageing demographic in the UK, there is a great need for high-quality care services within the homes and in establishment settings,” Dominic Dalli, partner at Sovereign Capital said. “We are delighted to be backing Nurse Plus’ proven and successful management team in a sector that we know well to help grow the business further and meet this demand.”
