Mitchell Martin buys healthcare staffing firm Therapists on Demand

Mitchell Martin Inc. acquired the operating assets of Therapists on Demand Inc., a healthcare staffing firm based in Philadelphia. The acquisition extends Mitchell Martin’s healthcare footprint beyond its current service territory in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The transaction closed Jan. 5; terms were not disclosed.

Therapists on Demand targets physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists in clinical settings. The firm operates one office in Philadelphia, but also has a presence in the Chicago market. Its 180 therapists serve clients in four states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois and Indiana.

After an integration period, Therapists on Demand will be brought under the Mitchell Martin brand and the acquired assets will be a part of Mitchell Martin Inc.’s healthcare subsidiary, Mitchell Martin Healthcare LLC, a New Jersey corporation. Founder Beth Nidecker remains with the firm on a consulting basis, and all the staff will also join the company.

Mitchell Martin is a New York-based provider of IT and healthcare staffing. It counts $169 million in revenue and conducts business in 38 states.
