U.K. recruitment firm Cordant has expanded its reach into the health and social care market with its acquisition of specialist recruiter Sugarman, reports healthinvestor.co.uk. The terms of the acquisition were not released.

Sugarman provides recruitment services in the medical, education and social care sectors. Cordant plans to build upon Sugarman’s fostering, adoption, and social work services and believes its internal training programs and IT infrastructure will improve Sugarman’s market standing.

The day-to-day management of Sugarman will remain under the control of director Tim Wheeler. He will be assisted by Steven Kirkpatrick who leads the recruitment team at Cordant.
