VMS: Temp Bill Rates Dip for Month

January 31 2012

IQNavigator, a provider of a vendor management system (VMS) for contingent labor, reported its index of temporary bill rates slipped to a reading of 104.0 in December, down 0.3 of a point from November. However, the index is up from the December 2010 reading of 99.3.

IQNavigator reports the index rose four percent over the last four years, suggesting Global 2000 companies have successfully controlled bill rate increases despite increasing demand for contingent workers.

A year-end report on the index found low upward rate pressure on bill rates for contingent labor in the second half of 2011.
