Randstad to Make Board Change

January 31 2012

Randstad Holding NV, one of the world’s largest staffing firms, announced Gregory Netland will leave its executive board at the end of his term. Randstad’s supervisory board proposes to appoint Linda Galipeau to the executive board for an initial four-year term. The appointment is subject to the approval by shareholders at the upcoming annual general meeting of shareholders on March 29, the same day that Netland’s term ends.

Netland indicated he wishes to pursue opportunities closer to home, participating in small- and medium-sized companies, according to Randstad. Netland joined Randstad’s executive board in 2009 when the company acquired Vedior NV, also a global staffing firm based in the Netherlands. Netland had served as CEO of Vedior North America.

Galipeau joined Randstad U.S. in 1995 as a district manager. She returned to her native Canada in 1997 to start the company’s Canadian operations. Galipeau is currently president of Randstad Staffing in the U.S., a position she has held since 2008.
