Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Today’s listings include announcements from Hydrogen Group, Baker Tilly, Gravitas, Korn Ferry, Express Employment Professionals and XcelHR.
Hydrogen Group plc, a UK-based recruitment company, tapped Sam Cormack to lead the new technology practice at its Houston-based North American headquarters that will focus on SAP, big data and data analytics roles. Josh Lee also joined the technology practice as a technology senior consultant focused on recruiting for SAP roles. Hydrogen currently provides oil and gas recruitment services in North America.
Baker Tilly Executive Search LLC announced Kevin Vick joined the firm as executive vice president. Vick previously served in an executive role at DHR International. Baker Tilly targets the manufacturing and distribution, professional services, technology, retail and private equity and venture capital industries.
Retained executive search firm Gravitas LLC announced Ed Evans rejoined the firm as managing partner and head of the firm’s new hospitality and managed services practice. Evans was a founding partner of Gravitas in 2007 but most recently was chief human resource office CHRO for Univar. Gravitas is headquartered in suburban Philadelphia with offices in Chicago and Spokane, Wash.
Executive search firm Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY) announced John Kuper joined the firm as senior client partner in the global technology practice. He is based out of Korn Ferry’s Philadelphia office. Kuper previously was a partner at Howard Fischer Associates International.
Express Employment Professionals franchisee Dave Kalberer will open a branch April 28 in Northern Rhode Island. Oklahoma City-based Express Employment is the seventh-largest staffing firm in the U.S.
PEO firm XcelHR added Timothy Parry as the new controller at its corporate headquarters in Rockville, Md. Parry most recently was regional accounting manager for the United Services Organization in Okinawa, Japan. XcelHR also added Kaeli Reeves to its marketing department as social media coordinator.
