North Dakota posted the lowest jobless rate among all states for the third year in a row in 2011, according to annual average unemployment rates released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. North Dakota’s unemployment rate was 3.5 percent in 2011.
Nebraska recorded the next lowest at 4.4 percent in 2011.
Nevada ranked as the state with the highest unemployment rate in 2011 at 13.5 percent. It was followed by California with a jobless rate of 11.7 percent.
