Interim Physicians, a St. Louis-based physician staffing firm, reported that Frank Phillips, its vice president of quality assurance, was elected president of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO). Phillips was a founding member of NALTO.
“Since the dozen original founders met to form NALTO at O’Hare Airport in 2001, I have been an active advocate of the association,” Phillips said. “Our industry was much younger then, and we had a different set of issues facing us — mainly the rising costs of medical malpractice insurance. With all of the changes to healthcare delivery today, we must work together as an industry to adapt and grow.”
