Majority of successful candidates submitted within a day

September 24 2013

More than half of candidates ultimately hired are submitted within a day of the job order going out, according to new research released this week by staffing software provider Bullhorn.

It found that 57 percent of candidates who are successfully placed were submitted within 24 hours of the job order going out.

The report, “The Ultimate Revenue Roadmap,” is based on data from Bullhorn users; it includes nearly 1,000 successful professional placements made in the last couple of months. Approximately 95 percent of the placements were for contract positions.

“We knew, anecdotally that speed was important, that it was becoming more important,” said Andrew Hally, vice president of product and marketing at Bullhorn. However, it was surprising that it was as quick as it was, Hally said.

The report began measuring time on the creation date of the job order. Bullhorn then looked back to the submission date of the candidate who was ultimately selected by the client — that submission date was when the clock stopped.

Bullhorn plans to follow this metric in the future to see if speeds are increasing.

The full report can be accessed here.

Here is Bullhorn's BS again.
How dare you say that you are the "only" ATS vendor who is SAS 70 compliant?
SAS 70 is a minimal requirement for almost every self respecting enterprise who is subscribing to an outside service. So many such ATS's are SAS 70 certified. We screened them. But then again, it is difficult to expect self-respect from your type of clients.
Also, masking the user's name or the identity of their employer and calling their usage "anonymous" does not redeem Bullhorn from tapping into data that Bullhorn does not own and is supposed to protect.

Yes, the data that Craig referenced comes from aggregated, anonymous usage statistics in full compliance with our terms of service. Bullhorn has the most secure data governance in the industry. We're the only vendor whose own technical operations are SSAE16 Type II (formerly SAS 70) compliant, not just our data center provider. We've been providing our customers with data-driven business insight to help them grow their business for years.

24 hours is eons in today's staffing market. If qualifying and submitting does not happen within a couple of hours, then you should call it quits. However, anyone using the Bullhorn email-based ATS has a long way to catch up.

Yes, it looks like Bullhorn is tapping into their clients' databases and extrapolating based on data they do not own and are supposed to secure.

Did Bullhorn obtain a release from the employers to publicize metrics from their users' "data"?
