International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE: IBM) today announced it has completed its acquisition of Emportis Inc., a contract management software company whose products include a vendor management system for contingent labor. With the closing of the acquisition, approximately 725 Emptoris employees will join IBM’s software group.
Separately, CTPartners Executive Search Inc. (AMEX: CTP), an executive search firm, completed its acquisition of CTPartners Latin America Inc., its independently-owned licensee that has been operating as CTPartners in Latin America for the past five years. A total of sixteen partners currently operate from offices in Bogota, Caracas, Lima, Mexico City, Panama, Santiago and São Paulo.
“This strategic acquisition allows us to build our brand further in Latin America which will make us more effective for our local, regional and global clients looking to invest in the region,” said CTPartners CEO Brian Sullivan.
