Who’s Wading in the Stream?

Our guest blogging site, The Staffing Stream, was built on the idea of getting the different factions in the industry — buyers, suppliers, VMS, MSPs and tech vendors — to talk. And talking they are.

Sixteen months after its launch, the blog now has 300 contributors and 544 published posts.

The Stream has brought players big and small from all walks of staffing to the blogtogether. A few highlights:

The anti-VMS/MSP faction cheered enthusiastically as Colleen Mills made her stand.  As a proponent of the MSP, Bob Livonius took exception and asked firms to work together.

Any advice on the ACA got widely read: Debbie Fledderjohann’s post was much relished. Similarly, folks enjoyed Sasank Aleti’s exploration on where the next hottest growth opportunities in staffing are.

The Blog showcased cool infographics and saw the online staffing debate get heated.

Many of our contributors come back to educate the industry on new ideas and developments. Scott Wintrip and Joe Azatta are two of our regular contributors.

Much of the blogging action has been from the staffing and vendor side of the industry. Kudos to those buyers who jumped in to the fray and contributed. Gary Campbell and Peggy O Neill’s views on contingent workforce management provided definite food for thought. We ask for the rest of you buyers to provide your views as well.

The talking here is with a purpose. Companies big and small subtly highlighted their products, people their expertise. As a result, money changed hands — folks got jobs, companies got attention and deals were done.

There’s more. Money notwithstanding, the dialogue continues. People from varied segments of staffing are exchanging ideas and learning. As we end the year, the editorial team here at Staffing Industry Analysts thanks all of its contributors. We want see you all back next year. And for those who have not (yet) written, please join the conversation.

Happy Holidays.
