Our 2013 Staffing Heroes

I would like to draw your attention to the Staffing 100 2013 list.

Our annual list of industry dynamos is a guide to those who shape the growing $134 billion staffing industry. They are our movers and shakers, bringing us something that we all need: jobs. The staffing industry is the next new frontier in how work gets done, and the battle is on to source candidates.

SIA President Barry Asin says the highest service we can perform is finding a job for a person in need, drawing on the words of Moses Maimonides, a Jewish philosopher of the Middle Ages. Centuries later, the belief still holds true. The 100 on this year’s list are stellar examples of combining service with innovation. Among them are strategists, entrepreneurs, CEOs and lawyers, to mention a few. These folks have experimented with staffing models and come up with ideas and systems that have sparked dialogue about how we think of work.

Buyers of staffing services should take a look at the list. These folks are championing and promoting the value of contingents who are the very foundation of your profession. If you feel you know someone, a peer or a vendor, that deserves to be on the 2014 list, or to learn about the nominations and selection process, click here.  This list is not a ranking. Our intention is to showcase those people who have made a difference — not just to the industry, but to the millions of people they have helped find work.
