Web video comedy series all about "The Temp Life"

Characters that happen to be temporary workers occasionally pop up in television shows and movies. Now, it turns out, they also have complete television series devoted to them.

The Tubefilter News reported Sept. 10 that "The Temp Life," a Web video comedy series about a fictional staffing firm, is beginning a new season.

"The Temp Life" describes itself as a "serial Web video comedy about the worst temp agency on the planet." In a recent episode, the agency assigns a temp to serve as video blogger for a self-obsessed New York fashionista.

Although the show is about a fictional staffing firm, its sponsor is Spherion Corp.

A few years back Access Nurses, a healthcare staffing firm, produced a Web video series about real-life travel nurses called "13 Weeks." The agency then started the NurseTV Web site, which presently has a show about real-life nurses called "NurseTV." The show also appears on some broadcast television stations.

Of course, the Web contains a vast amount of video presentations about staffing by everyone from staffing firms to temporary workers themselves, with some presentations good, some bad.  One of the funnier ones featured Star Wars' "The Emperor" as the worst temp ever.

If there are particularly interesting videos about staffing, you're welcome to share them in a comment to this blog.
