Harvey Nash US revenue rises 21% in first half of 2015

Harvey Nash Group plc, a London-based information technology staffing and services, reported US revenue rose 21.3% to US$40.6 million in the first half of 2015 compared to the first half of last year. Gross margin for the US rose to 26.8% from 24.1%.

The company reported that demand for technology talent outstripping supply drove the growth in the US.

“Prior year investment in talented consultants, our new enterprise delivery model and a focus on our digital strengths in executive recruitment resulted in every service line delivering record results,” said Bob Miano, president and CEO, Harvey Nash USAPAC. “In utilizing the global sourcing resources of the Harvey Nash Group all over the world in conjunction with dynamic market conditions, Harvey Nash USA’s growth outstripped all previous highs and also the global average.”

Harvey Nash’s global revenue for the six months ended July 31 fell 5.3% year over year (up 0.5% in constant currency) to US$508.9 million. Gross margin increased to 13.7% from 12.2%.

Adjusted operating profit for the period rose 7.3% (up 12.6% in constant currency) to US$7.4 million.
