NTT Data Corp. struck a deal to acquire everis Group, a provider of information technology consulting and services based in Madrid, Spain. The deal was announced Nov. 1.
Everis posted revenue for €590.1 million in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2013. It offers a range of IT services including consulting, application development, system integration and outsourcing.
In addition, everis has more than 1,000 clients and 10,000 employees; it has a presence in Europe as well as Latin America.

NTT Data is a global IT services firm headquartered in Japan.
Separately, NTT Data reported on Oct. 31 that net sales rose 1.4 percent year over year to ¥613.00 billion (US$6.23 billion) in the second half of its fiscal year ended Sept. 30.
However, second-half gross margin narrowed to 20.4 percent from 24.0 percent in the same period in the previous fiscal year. Also, NTT Data reported net loss of ¥3.76 billion (US$38.2 million) compared to net income of ¥13.44 billion in the second half of the previous year.
In addition, NTT Data recently announced two other acquisitions. The company said this month it struck a deal to acquire EBS Romania S.A., a provider of near-shore IT services for international customers, mainly in German-speaking countries. EBS is based in Cluj, Romania.
Also, NTT Data reported its intelligence Inc. division acquired U.S. technology consulting firm Aster Group effective Nov. 1. The Aster Group is based in Concord, N.C., and provides SAP business planning and consolidation applications. It has more than 300 clients.
