IT staffing firm names more interim execs after death of CEO

IT staffing provider CTG (NASD: CTG) named Filip Gyde as interim executive VP of operations and John Laubacker as interim CFO. The Buffalo, N.Y.-based company announced the changes on Nov. 3 following an earlier announcement on the appointment of CFO Brendan Harrington as interim CEO following the death of longtime CEO James Boldt.

Gyde previously served as senior VP and general manager of CTG Europe. He joined CTG in 1990 when the company acquired Rendeck International, a multi-national European IT consulting firm.

Laubacker joined CTG in 1996 and was named treasurer in 2006. Prior to joining CTG, Laubacker was a senior manager at KPMG from 1988 to 1996.

“These new appointments enhance our ability to lead the company through this transition period,” Harrington said. “Filip will support me in managing CTG’s operations while John will assume the responsibilities of the CFO until a permanent CEO is appointed."

CTG also reported Michael Colson, senior VP of solutions, left to pursue other opportunities.
