IT staffing firms start new company, will include VMS and MSP from CDI

CDI Corp. (NYSE: CDI) joined with Acro Service Crop. and Mastech Inc. (NYSE: MHH) to form a new minority-owned company to provide technical, IT and engineering staffing. CDI will provide MSP, VMS and operational support to the new company.

Both Acro and Mastech are certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council. Congruent Talent will target large US companies, helping them meet enterprise supplier diversity program objectives. CDI will hold a 49% stake in Congruent.

“The company will uniquely service large enterprises by unifying the fulfillment capability of leading recruitment organizations, creating a scalable and efficient mechanism to deliver on clients’ skilled staffing needs while meeting their supplier diversity program goals,” CDI President and CEO Scott Friedheim said in a conference call with analysts. “CDI will provide MSP, VMS and operational support to Congruent Talent, as well as contribute fulfillment capability.”

Jonathan Jackson will serve as president and CEO of Congruent.

Separately, CDI also reported second-quarter revenue fell 13.2% year over year to $246.8 million.
