TeamHealth names CEO and COO

TeamHealth Holdings Inc. (NYSE: TMH), the seventh-largest U.S. healthcare staffing provider, appointed Michael Snow as CEO and Oliver Rogers as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

TeamHealth had named Snow president in April 2013. Snow takes over the CEO role from Greg Roth, who earlier announced plans to retire. Snow had also taken over the president duties from Roth when he arrived at the company in 2013. Roth joined the Knoxville, Tenn.-based firm in 2004 as president and chief operating officer; he was named CEO in 2008.

“The board conducted a thorough, nationwide search to find an individual with a broad healthcare management background and visionary leadership,” said co-founder and Chairman Lynn Massingale. “Mike’s extensive healthcare experience within hospitals and healthcare systems combined with more than 25 years of business operations experience will serve TeamHealth well as it furthers its reputation for excellence in a continually evolving healthcare environment.”

COO Rogers previously served as the organization’s president of hospital-based services.

“As EVP and COO, Oliver will play a key role in positioning TeamHealth for continued growth and operational success,” said Snow. “His depth of experience, proven leadership abilities and professional integrity are qualities that will strengthen TeamHealth’s reputation as a leading healthcare solutions organization.”
