Around the Web: Obama Budgets for Misclassification Fight; Jobless Programs Aided

Aside from extending payroll tax cuts, the tax bill passed by Congress on Friday enables unemployment insurance programs to supplement the paychecks of workers whose hours have been cut, encouraging companies to reduce hours rather than cut jobs entirely, The Wall Street Journal explains. The bill also provides more funds for worker training programs. President Obama has said he would sign the bill. Read more here.
