Council Research: Forecast Update

In any market, everyone is watching for the next big trend. This is also true of the contingent workforce world. What’s the next hot skill? What’s not? Where’s the market headed? Do you know the leader in last month’s staffing sectors: Temp Staffing, Direct Hire or Temp to Hire? If you guessed Direct Hire (up 33 percent) then you were right! Imagine being able to give your C-suite the correct answers. That is what we help you do.

The newly released Staffing Industry Analysts forecast enables you to keep your finger on the pulse of the industry. Here’s a sneak peak: We predict that the U.S staffing industry market growth will be 10 percent in 2011 and 7 percent in 2012. Our numbers have been revised since our April forecast. IT staffing is still the hottest segment. There are no surprises there — this sector has seen three straight years of double digit growth.

But it’s not all rainbows and sunshine. Thanks to the gloomy economic outlook, we expect commercial staffing to cool off along with the temperatures outside. What does this mean for end users of contingent labor? For this and more information on which of your businesses geographies or industry segments to focus on when it comes to contingent workers, come check us out. We'll tell you what to look for.
