According to data from nextSource, bill rates for customer service representatives varied based on the level of skill required. In September 2009, the median mark-up for a customer service representative in the United States was 52 percent. Mark-ups at the junior- and mid-levels were highest, at 56 percent and 62 percent, respectively, while mark-ups for the senior-, lead- and guru-levels ranged from 48 percent to 53 percent.
