Japanese recruitment firm Pasona (2168: JP) announced the launch of a new office in Hanoi in order to expand its offering in Vietnam. Pasona Tech Vietnam Co. Ltd. currently operates in Ho Chi Minh and will start offering services in Hanoi from 1 March 2014.
There are an estimated 1,077 Japanese companies in Vietnam, according to JETRO, (Japan External Trade Organisation). Demand for hiring global personnel is rising at Japanese companies, according to Pasona, as many are expanding their business in the ASEAN region. In the capital of Hanoi, there is also increasing demand for recruitment services from non-Japanese companies, particularly Korean firms.
The new Hanoi office will provide search and placement services, as well as providing outsourcing services for HR related activities and training. In future, the company will also provide global BPO services, such as offshore development, Computer Aided Design (CAD) modelling, and analysis in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh office.
In addition to Vietnam, Pasona, the third largest staffing firm in Japan, also operates in the USA, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Korea, Indonesia, and Thailand.
