Vietnam – Japanese recruiter acquires leading job board

12 April 2013

One of Japan’s top online recruiters, en-japan, will acquire leading Vietnamese recruitment service provider Navigos Group, the company behind what is considered to be the country’s largest job site, VietnamWorks.

Metrics of the deal were not published. en-japan is expanding into Vietnam as the country is poised for economic growth and is expected to see further demand for staffing services. “Especially, job search websites are expected to be an important tool along with the economic growth of Vietnam, where the working population is increasing,” the company said.

VietnamWorks.com was first established in 2002 and is among the local market leaders. en-japan is keen to invest into other regions in Asia Pacific, having expanded operations in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and South Korea.

en-japan is a provider of HR-related services operating six job search websites, including Career Change Info and Career Change Consultant.

Vietnam has become a popular destination for investors with American job board Career Builder acquiring local job site Vietnam Online Network in February.
