Japanese staffing firm Yume Technology (2458: JA) posted half-year revenue of USD 18.01 million (JPY 1.76 billion) for the six months to March. This compares to USD 19.75 million (JPY 1.93 billion) in the previous half-year period, a reduction of -9%.
Operating profit in the six months amounted to USD 1.43 million (JPY 140 million). Pre-tax profit was USD 2.11 million (JPY 207 million), up from USD 1.77 million (JPY 173 million) in the prior half. Net profit remained flat at USD 1.70 million (JPY 167 million).
Nevertheless, in trading today, the company’s share price was up by +9% to JPY 115,900. Based on this stock price, the firm has a market value of USD 67.76 million (JPY 6.62 billion).
Yume Technology is mainly engaged in the supply of staffing services. The Engineering Outsourcing segment dispatches workers specialising in the semiconductor, electric, electronic, machinery, information and chemical fields. The firm’s Business Solution segment offers staffing services for open source software, network and security-related activities in the IT field, as well as the development and sale of open source software.
