Japanese staffing firm Yume Technology (2458: JP) reported revenue of JPY 3.53 billion (USD 35.9 million) for the year ending 30 September 2013, a drop of -5.9% compared with JPY 3.75 million (USD 38.2 million) last year. The company reported an operating profit of JPY 276 million (USD 2.8 million), an increase of +10.8% compared with JPY 249 million (USD 2.5 million) in 2012.
Yume Technology achieved a pre-tax profit of JPY 428 million (USD 4.4 million) for the year ending September 2013, a rise of +58.5% compared with JPY 270 million (USD 2.75 million) in 2012. Net profit for the period was JPY 463 million (USD 4.7 million); a rise of +81.6% compared with JPY 255 million (USD 2.6 million) a year ago.
Looking forward, the company expects to report revenue of JPY 1.78 billion (USD 18.1 million) for the six months ending 31 March 2014 and revenue of JPY 3.7 billion (USD 37.7 million) for the full year ending 30 September 2014. The company predicts that it will achieve a net income for the first half of the year 2014 of JPY 70 million (USD 712,440) and a full year net income of JPY 230 million (USD 2.3 million).
Yume Technology is mainly engaged in the supply of staffing services. The Engineering Outsourcing segment dispatches workers specialising in the semiconductor, electric, electronic, machinery, information and chemical fields. The firm’s Business Solution segment offers staffing services for open source software, network and security-related activities in the IT field, as well as the development and sale of open source software.
In trading today, the company’s share price fell by -1.2% to JPY 125,000 (USD 1,272), an increase of +329.8% compared with a year ago. Based on its current share price, the company has a market value of JPY 7.14 billion (USD 72.7 million).
