Japan-based recruiter Jac Recruitment (2124:OS) saw first-quarter revenue jump by +24% to USD 16.9 million (JPY 1.72 billion) from USD 13.7 million (JPY 1.39 million) in the prior year, the firm announced Friday.
Operating profit in the period increased to USD 4.8 million (JPY 484 million) from USD 2.11 million (JPY 215 million). The company reported a pre-tax profit of USD 4.77 million (JPY 485 million), compared to USD 2.1 million (JPY 220 million). Net profit in the three months to March was USD 2.8 million (JPY 287 million), up from USD 1.01 million (JPY 103 million).
The company now expects full-year revenue to reach USD 72.3 million (JPY 7.35 billion).
According to research by Staffing Industry Analysts, Jac is among the 60 largest staffing firms in Japan. The Japanese staffing market Japan is the second-largest staffing market in the world after the US and is highly fragmented compared to most other major staffing markets.
Jac Recruitment is engaged in the recruitment and registration of job seekers, also providing consulting services. The Group also specialises in staffing services for overseas job seekers to join local companies and it also provides domestic recruitment services.
