India – Indian Staffing Federation appoints new CEO

15 March 2013

The Indian Staffing Federation (ISF), the main organisation representing recruitment firms in the country, today announced the appointment of Rufina Fernandes as its chief executive officer.

“As we witness the rapid and promising growth of flexi staffing in Indian companies, we see ourselves playing a crucial role in this emerging trend. Rufina's rich experience will be of immense value to the Indian Staffing Federation as it enters the next phase of growth,” said K. Pandia Rajan, president of ISF.

Ms Fernandes was the business head of EnTeEf, a technology platform for schools management with VBHC Education Services, Bangalore.  She also headed the non-profit organisation Nasscom Foundation for over five years as CEO.

“With my longstanding experience, I look forward to further enhancing the staffing industry and ensure its continued ability to make positive contributions to the economy and society,” said Ms Fernandes.

The ISF has been founded by major market players to help establish the local staffing industry. The organisation has repeatedly lobbied for better regulations of the labour market which would also benefit the development of the staffing sector.
