The staffing market in Brazil will show further growth this year as demand for temporary agency workers in the summer season will remain strong in the leisure and entertainment sectors where 28,000 temporary posts are expected to open.
This is a +12% increase from a year ago, new research by recruitment trade bodies Asserttem / Sindeprestem show.
The majority of these temporary jobs – around 24,000 – will be filled at entertainment and leisure venues such as theme parks, clubs, hotels, campsites, bars, restaurants and tourist agencies. Demand for tour operators, waiters and those doing room service will also be high.
Candidates need to bring strong leadership skills and opportunities vary for people with or without higher levels of education. The research shows that 6,000 of those 24,000 jobs are likely to be filled by young first-time jobbers.
Most of the job openings can be found in the Southeast of the country in states such as São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.
