The staffing market in Brazil showed further growth last year as demand for temporary agency workers remained strong in the summer season. 29,000 people found temporary jobs in the summer months, particularly in the industry, commerce, leisure and entertainment sectors.
This is a +16% increase from the previous year, new research by recruitment trade bodies Asserttem / Sindeprestem show.
This found that most job opportunities were offered by amusement parks. The leisure and entertainment industries offered 86% of the total vacancies, employing around 25,000 workers. Industry and commerce accounted for only 14% of vacancies. Nearly a quarter of all temporary contracts were signed by young people with little work experience, the association said.
