The Management Committee of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) met in Azerbaijan yesterday to discuss the establishment of a partnership on labour, employment, and social protections, reports abc.az.
According to the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, representatives from the nine member countries; Guinea, Indonesia, Cameroon, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, as well as the World Labour Organisation, took part in the Committee.
The Ministry advised in a statement: “During the meeting the parties have discussed a Plan of Action within the framework of implementation of the framework agreement on cooperation in labour, employment and social protection. The Committee also plans to discuss the establishment of a state employment services network, as well as the report to be presented at the next Conference of the Labour Ministers of OIC countries and the program of its implementation.”
