Applications have today opened for the “six best jobs in the world” in a global campaign targeted at young workers and led by Tourism Australia. Each job comes with an attractive six-month salary package worth AUD 100,000.
The jobs include chief funster in New South Wales, outback adventurer in the Northern Territory, park ranger in Queensland, wildlife caretaker in South Australia, lifestyle photographer in Melbourne and taste master in Western Australia.
Applicants have to be aged between 18 and 30 years and have until 10 April to convince recruiters with their skills.
Jane Whitehead from Tourism Australia said that the competition was expected to appeal to youth travellers' sense of fun and adventure and also those seeking a gap year and international experience.
“Australia, with its quality of living, wage levels and job opportunities offers attractive options for those that want to strengthen and round out their resumes while having the time of their life experiencing a beautiful and dynamic country,” she said.
The organisation has also partnered with Monster to drive recruitment in Australia’s tourist industry.
