Australia – PageGroup launches specialist recruitment offering

05 February 2014

Following increased demand for property and construction talent in 2013 from employers across Australia, PageGroup has launched a new specialist recruitment offering within its Michael Page business – Property & Construction – in Perth, Western Australia.

David George, Regional Director of Michael Page in Australia, commented: “Employers who operate within the property and construction sector in Perth, as well as many of our national clients that have worked with the Michael Page Property & Construction team on the East Coast, are looking for our assistance in sourcing property and construction talent in Western Australia. Companies across the property and construction sector see the recent decline in mining business activity as an opportunity to up-skill their staff and expand their business offering in 2014.”

“Furthermore, the property and construction industry is expected to be relatively strong in 2014 so it makes sense to have a dedicated team that is focused exclusively on servicing the needs of both candidates and employers within this sector,” Mr George added.

The new Michael Page Property & Construction team in Perth will be managed by Kate McGreavy, who, with her team, has worked with PageGroup for a number of years to successfully secure the best and most desired talent for employers. The team will focus on recruiting construction talent at the management level, including Construction/Site Managers and Contracts Administrators, as well as project management talent within the consultancy space for domestic, interstate and international companies.

“We’re excited to be further diversifying PageGroup’s existing offering in Western Australia, which includes seven industry focus areas within Michael Page and two within Page Personnel. In the short time we’ve been operating within property and construction, the business has been well received by employers and the general feel is that this market is well placed for a strong 2014,” said Mr George.
