International recruitment firm Bluestone Global Limited (ASX: BUE) today announced the resignation of its chief financial officer (CFO) Jean-Yves Didier with the firm citing personal reasons for his unexpected departure.
Bluestone, which was previously known as Humanis Group, is one of the largest staffing firms in Australia. The firm delivered consolidated revenue of AUD 334.3 million (USD 346.3 million) in 2012 [for the year ended 30 June 2012], up from the AUD 221.8 million (USD 229.7 million) in the prior year. But the firm posted a net loss after tax of AUD 32.7 million (USDs 33.9 million) in the period.
The company has now appointed Justin Owen as acting CFO with immediate effect. A finance professional and chartered accountant, Mr Owen most recently worked as an audit partner with Grant Thornton. He has industry experience in energy and mining, construction and financial services together with international project exposure in countries including China, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Bluestone Global managing director, Rabieh Krayem, said: “We welcome the financial acumen Justin will bring to our executive team. He will continue to implement the board’s mandate to deliver cost and efficiency savings within the Group whilst we maintain our focus on achieving sales growth in those sectors which are contributing to economic growth.”
The news follows another board shake-up last month when Bluestone appointed Baljit Singh as chairman of the group.
