Argentina – Jobs and skills in demand

In the second quarter of the year Adecco Argentina produced a report revealing that the most sought after professional profiles across the country’s leading industries include management positions, department heads, and specialists.

Among the positions most in demand for the Administration and Finance sector are Managers, Financial Managers, Heads of Management Control, -Costs, -Operations, -Procurement, and Human Resources. Candidates are expected to demonstrate rapid conflict resolution, negotiation and leadership skills.

In the area of Sales and Marketing; Sales Managers, Business Executives and Brand Managers will be among the most sought after, with demand remaining high throughout the year. Graduates trained in Management, Advertising or Marketing are most in demand and must be able to demonstrate strong market experience and business skills.

Software developers with object-oriented languages, especially Java, .NET, and mobile technologies; such as Android and iOS, are in demand in the Technology and Telecommunications Sector. Information Security Analysts and Networking specialists with more than two years’ experience in similar roles are in demand by the industry. Online Community Managers will remain among the most sought after by companies as a direct result of the social network boom.

In the Pharmaceuticals and Health sector those sought after are Production Managers, Pharmacists, Medical Auditors, and Chief Medical Laboratory Technicians. In all cases, it will be important to show leadership and negotiating skills.

The Engineering and Production industry requires professionals in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-, Civil-, and Chemical-, mainly for production and logistics companies in the areas of Automotive, Metalworking and Chemical.

Fernando Ciarmatori, director of Adecco Professional, said: "For this second part of the year, the labour market aimed mainly at professionals for managerial positions or headquarters that require responsibility, capability and experience. Also invest in academic specialisations in your area. Faced with such demand, companies have the challenge to develop incentive policies to encourage the recruitment of candidates.”
