Supercharge Your Recruiting Mojo. Join in the Best Staffing Firms to Work for Contest

Tired of looking for quality talent but unable to find it?  Is lightning demand for quality candidates forcing you to reevaluate your recruiting methods?  Here’s a suggestion: Participate in the Best Staffing Firms to Work For competition and supercharge your hiring mojo. The program is now open to staffing firms in the US and UK. And really, it’s about much, much more than just winning the contest (though that can help too!).

“This is one of the biggest missed opportunities out there,” says Jon Osborne, Staffing Industry Analysts’  VP of Strategic Research.  “All companies should know what their employees think about them.  It’s essential information in the War for Talent, and that applies to internal staff just as much as temporary workers.” Completing the survey gives participants access to an exclusive individualized report revealing employee pain points (that may be entirely unknown) and too, what management is doing right. It could open the door to whole new opportunities.

And if your company does go on to be one of the highest rated staffing firms as well, you also get a logo to place on your website, recognition by SIA at a future Executive Forum, and get to be featured in Staffing Industry Review magazine. Being Named a Best Staffing Firm to Work For makes it easier for a company to attract and retain top talent. Ninety percent of companies that show on a Best Places to Work list get seven times more qualified resumes per job posting than companies that don’t according to a study conducted by Quantum Workplace Reduced turnover, higher productivity and gross margins, happy clients, a marketing boost are just some of the benefits that companies can hope to receive.

Buyers whose staffing suppliers are rated a Best Staffing firms to Work For can benefit greatly as well — improved recruiting ability helps everyone. So, contingent workforce managers, take the time to point your staffing vendors to this contest. It benefits your bottom line as well as theirs.

Here’s how it works.  The program is conducted for Staffing Industry Analysts by Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, Neb.-based company.

Staffing companies must supply some basic information to make sure they qualify to enter the competition. Then employees at each staffing firm are asked — anonymously — to complete an online survey that focuses on questions relating to team effectiveness, feeling valued, trust in senior leaders, compensation and benefits etc.  One requirement: contributing companies need to have a minimum level of participation based on total employee population to qualify (there are three categories based on internal headcount).  Your workers need to take the survey.

What have we learned from prior years’ contests?  You don’t have to offer to expensive perks or giveaways to be a Best Place to Work. It’s about engagement.

Nominations for 2015 close on November 28th. Top firms are announced early next year.
